Training

I use a mixture of HIIT, trail runs, road runs, climbing, 14er's and other cross training. I believe fully in a good variety of programming style and have found amazing gains from utilizing it.






*Continuing with HIIT and other Cross Training 3-4x per week

*Interval runs/hills/time trials 2x per week

*Long trail runs on weekends or 14,000ft mountain climbs


Example of random weekend long training's:
* Training-trail Marathon . 3,100ft elevation change. Got up to elevations in the mid 8,000's.. conditions were a mess with mud, snow 2-4 inches in places, and more mud. Very happy with pace and my endurance felt stronger than ever! My dog Bentlee the Golden Doodle came along with me. He is an amazing animal!!! nicknamed the Mountain Goat, he has been on numerous 14er trips and has ran hundreds of miles with me.
